This detached ADU project introduces a new two-story, 1,100 SF accessory dwelling unit thoughtfully integrated into an existing residential site. The design preserves the ground-level garage while removing an adjacent workshop to optimize the site layout. The second floor extends above the garage, creating a compact yet spacious footprint that maximizes rear-yard living potential.
The ADU is organized around an open-plan kitchen and living area on the first floor, supporting comfortable modern living with abundant natural light and efficient spatial flow. The contemporary exterior features clean lines, a pitched roof, and contextual materials that blend seamlessly with the surrounding neighborhood and the existing main residence.
